Care Team – Interested?

Care Teams Needed: Have you ever been asked to be on a care team? Do you want more information?? Would you like to join us?? We would love for every illness, new birth and any turmoil that we endure, to bring us together as a congregation. We provide meals when needed. Let me know if this sounds like something you’re interested in! It isn’t very time consuming, just takes a little care.

We do have groups set up so you may not get called very often, so it’s a nice way to contribute without devoting hours of your time!! Please Contact Aimee Knoedler in the office or Cindy Grabenstein if you are interested!

Youth Trip to Houston

Youth Trip to Houston

It was a long drive to and from Houston, and the ELCA Youth Gathering, and it has taken some time
to absorb all that we (Kellen, Gabie, Brooke, Sam, Deb and PJ) experienced. One thing we realized
– “This” comes in different directions; “Change” isn’t necessarily fast – it can be like a planted
seed; ‘Everything” could also be everyone, place, time, thought, wish…

The themes for each day were celebrated by 30,000 youth (including Jeremy Sanchez, who
met us from Alaska!).

Prayer Garden Dedication

PRAYER GARDEN DEDICATION & cindy-dave-paint-2

DESSERT/POTATO BAR CELEBRATION

During worship on the weekend of October 15th and 16th, we’ll have a dedication of the (continually growing) Prayer Garden to the west of the church garage.   The bricks have been laid (thanks, Wednesday Weeders!) and the mural painted (thanks Dave, Cindy, Bob, Kristin, Coleen).  Still to be added: a pergola and prayer statue (approx. cost: $1500 each).

There will be a dessert reception following the Saturday evening service, and a baked potato bar after Sunday’s 11 a.m. service.  A free will offering will go towards the sculpture for the garden.
